Our business is all about cross stitch by machine embroidery. We have all seen the workshirts with the individual stitched name on the placket. These same machines (or their smaller brothers) have entered the home market. There is no reason why such machines cannot sew a cross stitch instead of a satin fill stitch. We have made this jump and helped to develop the means to sew any design of any size on any home embroidery machine.
Who we are
Becky J began her design journey in 1975 when she first picked up a needle, thread and counted cross-stitch chart with her sister-in-law’s encouragement. After becoming a devout cross-stitcher, collecting over 18,000 designs, stitching models for shops, offering her work for sale and filling her home and her friends’ homes with her work, she found a new avenue of expression with machine embroidery.
A bit of history
When Uli Tessel created a program to help his mother continue cross-stitching with failing eyesight, Becky realized this tool would allow her to bring her first love to her newfound one. Combining her 30+ year experience with cross stitch, Becky now creates her own designs from photographs, teaches others in her tricks and techniques and distributes her designs to well-deserved acclaim through the Internet worldwide! She has been an educator for Hobbyware’s Pattern Maker software for years and was consulted in the production of the machine embroidery version of the software. She is also a distributor of their software and bundles it with her tutorials for easiest learning of the software. Pattern Maker is stand alone software that exports cross stitch designs, from photos or graphs to most of the machine embroidery formats and splits designs for whatever hoop you happen to have. In addition to designing, Becky actively teaches at seminars throughout the country and through her self-guided tutorial CD-ROMs and DVDs on techniques she uses in her own burgeoning collections of designs.
